| 12.23.00 10:52 PM (Saturday) |
| I'm kinda glad it's winter break, but I realized I'd really hate it when
break ends. I ended up doing just okay on those two tests for AP, and the present distribution thing
went on well Friday (I only ended up keeping one present because the person I didn't see the person I
was going to give it to.) I ended up going to Chinatown afterschool even if it was raining. And I
haven't really been doing anything today... I love doing nothing. |
| 12.21.00 1:59 AM (Thursday) |
| Cultural Relations ended kinda funky, I mean I went to different classes
the last three days (first to the Religion forum in Spang's, then to Body Image up in the Annex, then
to Racism in Gumbs) and then I probably got like 3 calls home that I skipped. That was last week
though... this week's been hell because, basically, of the two tests coming up (guess which class?),
tomorrow and on Friday. To add to that a band rehearsal last night, an NHS inaugurational ceremony
tonight, and a band concert tomorrow night. Half the fun was not knowing who was going to give me
rides to these things. But anyway, I'm distributing my presents out on Friday, and hopefully I'll do
something fun afterschool. |
| 12.12.00 3:13 AM (Tuesday) |
Cultural Relations started today! It's kinda cool but we only have 5 minute
passing periods and only 5 minutes shortened from each class. This year I circled topics I actually
care about, unlike last year, where I circled a bunch of topics as a joke (and I got into the "teen
pregnancy" forum. Despite hours of hearing about girls' babies' dads I only spoke the last day the
forum met to talk about... of all topics... nasal sex...) Yeah so this year I'm in "cliques and school
unity," which seems more interesting, except a bunch of freshman girls today were discussing eastside
schools, and I got lost in the conversation. Winter ball tickets also went on sale today, I hope I'm
going to go... In addition, this weekend I went Christmas shopping, and I ran out of money. I just
got presents for my closest friends and people who I don't consider that close but said they would get
me presents. We also had our first NHS cleanup for two hours on Saturday morning, even though it was
really cold. In other news... (and reading back at previous entries) my grade might be lowered to a C
in AP European History now. But whatever, I hate that class anyway. Before winter break my grade
better still be a low B or else I'll have one crappy break. |
| 11.26.00 10:45 PM (Sunday) |
| I'm watching the end of Titanic, which I've seen twice before, but that was
maybe 2 years ago. It's corny and the script's not that great but it's a cool movie in that you don't
see many epics like it today. My favorite lines are "Jack! Oh Jack!" and "You're so stupid Rose!" And
I saw Charlie's Angels on Friday. It's a better movie than most I've seen recently, like "Pay it
Forward" or "Almost Famous." I've been playing FFIX throughout this break too, I'm halfway through
Disc 2. I think it tries too hard to be like FFVI, but the characters seem kinda goofy. And George W.
Bush is our new president? I sure hope not. |
| 11.22.00 5:04 PM (Wednesday) |
| I went to Uwajimaya Village's grand opening today. It was huge. The
bookstore switched locations as well-- it's enormous. The new Uwajimaya is like an American
supermarket now, the aisles are much larger and there's more American products. Anyways, I bought
ELT's newest CD-S "Ai no kakera" first, then I went to buy a really tall Roasted coconut drink, some
pea snack things, and some sukiyaki. Just for the record. |
| 11.22.00 12:48 AM (Wednesday) |
| Well November's flown by quite fast. We had a concert tonight, which
worked out rather inconveniently because I had a ton of homework to do. At the concert I had a stand
that was wobbly so for the first half I was more worried of the music actually standing upright rather
than playing. But playing-wise, I think we had hard pieces, and we could've used a little more
practice. I've been sleepy all week (well the two days of it so far...) and tomorrow (later today) we
get out early because of Thanksgiving. I got Final Fantasy IX Monday night and I'll probably be busy
with that throughout break... and tomorrow I'm going to the grand opening of Uwajimaya village, I hope
that's fun. |
| 11.12.00 11:31 AM (Monday) |
| We just had a three day weekend because of Veteran's Day. Nothing special
really happened. I am done with most of my homework at this time, however, which is rather unusual. I
still need to see Charlie's Angels. |
| 11.6.00 1:39 AM (Monday) |
That first essay test we had on the 20th... I got a 4 out of 9. Which really
sucks; at least I got 95% on the multiple choice. But we had another test for AP Euro on Friday, I
seriously screwed up both parts... I still need to study for the rescore tomorrow. And the midterm we
*might* have. I'm getting a B in the class... I don't know why I'm so worried about that, a B is good
right? And it's just the quarter... nevertheless I am worried. History is definitely my worst
subject... maybe it's the teacher, maybe it's me, maybe it's the fact it seems so boring. I plan to
take AP history next year though, hopefully it will be more fun. In other news, Franklin's
homecoming was this weekend. I didn't go to the game but I think they won against my school by a small
margin. |
| 10.22.00 1:55 AM (Sunday) |
| I took the PSAT's today (well technically yesterday.) On Friday I skipped
the Homecoming assembly to go see "Pay it Forward," which is an okay movie. I had to walk home in the
rain. And I was supposed to go to the Homecoming Dance tonight, but I forgot to buy tickets and they
didn't sell them at the door... oh well. |
| 10.20.00 1:46 AM (Friday) |
| So we had an exam in AP Euro today; it was an essay test. I'm really worried
about it, I know I bombed it horribly, I just want at least half credit on the test. And tomorrow we
have a multiple choice test, something I know I'll just do well on (sarcasm.) History is by far my
worst subject. My attitude towards the class is "I don't care about learning, I just want the A..."
because I bet by the time of the AP test I'll just forget all the information anyway. The reason I'm
so worried is because I have an 88% B right now. Anyway, I hope I can look at this entry one day and
laugh it off. I'm too stressed for some reason. |
| 10.13.00 6:01 PM (Friday) |
| I slept in today, that felt great. I was supposed to go to Downtown to...
see a movie or something, but oh well, no one woke me up! Yeah yesterday was pretty fun, Eric and I
went to root for Garfield JV's tennis (well I was only rooting for David and Ben [BO]... I didn't
really see anyone else play) and it was really cold. Then we went to Costco to eat, I had my first
Costco hotdog (or maybe second... I don't usually eat there.) And it's a three day weekend today. I
just came back from cashing my money order and buying a CD. On another note, I got a low A on the
marine science test on Thursday, I'm happy about that I guess. |
| 10.9.00 12:44 AM (Monday) |
| I'm s-s-sipping on this soybean drink, and I'm thinking "wow I haven't
updated in some while." Since the last update I got 4 teeth pulled, and uhhh I saw Almost Famous! Yeah
it's an okay movie, but I don't see why all the critics are raving about it. Many sections of this
website need an update badly, however I haven't had any time to do anything lately. |
| 9.27.00 11:19 PM (Wednesday) |
| Today's my actual b-day... I turn 15! Yeah it's great, I ended up getting
more presents today, like a book, $1.36, a fun-sized Nutrageous, an keychain from Aruba (lol), and a
pack o' Pop Tarts. Today was also the first time I was late for 1st period, and we were picking new
seats, so I got kind of a crappy seat. |
| 9.25.00 3:05 AM (Monday) |
| Today sucked so much. Well, let me start with yesterday. My birthday party
was yesterday. It was fun, kinda. I couldn't loosen up for some reason, I was quite taciturn during
the whole ordeal. The food was good, the cake was hard. I came home with some new headphones, $21 in
cash, an incense holder, $10 in Hollywood gift certificates, $10 in Blockbuster gift certificates, a
t-shirt, a keychain, and some cards. I thank everyone that went, I apologize to those who weren't
invited... I didn't make the invitations. So after the party I went home and started working on my
Spang project. I was finished with the thinking process (which had taken me a few hours during the
day) but first I needed to write down all the material. I couldn't even finish that... it was 5 in the
morning and I wasn't nearly done. I woke up at 1 in the afternoon and I worked straight through the
day, into the night, and now it's morning again. I took about 2 hours in breaks. Someone remind me to
*never* do a webpage for school again, they're too time-consuming if I want to make them look good,
and they must look good otherwise I wouldn't feel right letting other people see it. I still have all
the other homework from school to do (math homework and reading for AP Euro). I think it's only fair
that I get an A on this project... I could've done a poster, which would've taken much less time, but
I had to a webpage. I'm really worried all this time and effort will have gone to waste if I don't get
an A on this. Someone shoot me, right now. |
| 9.21.00 3:25 AM (Thursday) |
Today (yesterday) we had our very first "long period" days of the year.
Wednesdays will be my easiest days; periods 1, 3, and 5. My "surprise" party is on Saturday, at
Chang's Mongolian Grill in Broadway, from 7-10 PM I think. I haven't really invited any people, to all
my loyal webpage fans (yes, all three of you... j/k, I really don't know) you're invited. It's been
planned so that my friends who aren't really good friends with many of my other friends weren't
invited, but I guess I wouldn't want to see anyone not having a good time. I realize it's polite for
the birthday person to pay for the food and stuff, but that'd be too much, so buy your own food =P |
| 9.18.00 4:52 AM (Monday) |
| Major revelation... I've been kept from something particularly damaging for
about 10 or so years of my life. I hope this problem gets fixed soon so my life will be back on track.
As for the specifics, it's something I'm not at the liberty to discuss right now-- it's a strict
family matter. I hope I can muddle my way through these next few weeks of school effortlessly despite
this problem. And I hope I don't die in the end. (I'm being really vague, feel free to guess.) |
| 9.8.00 10:55 PM (Friday) |
| First week of school= over. So far the only class that seems to be really
tough is my AP Euro class. For some reason I couldn't play my saxophone in band today. It could've
been that I had gotten braces since the last time I played, or that something's wrong with the
instrument, or a combination of both. (I've been playing flat, and I couldn't play any runs at all.)
The bad thing was I was one of three people playing first sax today. I'm sharing my music folder with
Erin W., we were trying to get freshmen to play 1st part because we didn't want the responsibility. It
was kinda funny... Once I can actually play like I did last year though, I think I'll resort to
slacking off. |
| 9.6.00 5:51 AM (Wednesday) |
I woke up at 4 or so today. I slept at 11 last night. I couldn't go back to
sleep. Anyways, yesterday I actually broke my bad sleeping habit by only sleeping 5 hours. That's
because to celebrate the end of summer I went to Chinatown to eat lunch with David, James, Armand, and
Aaron. I couldn't help but get the song "Music" by Madonna stuck in my head. The video is hot, am I
wrong? Especially the part where Madonna goes to a strip club and throws money at that black girl who
shakes her ass. The food was pretty good, and we hung around the area afterwards... most notably, we
had fun at the Chinatown playground, where there was that swinging bridge gate structure. Since I
woke up I've had time to take a shower, cook my own breakfast, and listen to some CD's. And it's not
yet 6... I should get up earlier more often! There are many things I'm unsure about... I think I have
a dental appointment afterschool, I'm not sure though. I also don't know which bus I'm riding. I'm
unsure of whether I should bring my saxophone to school or not, I probably won't today but I probably
will tomorrow. |
| 9.4.00 11:04 PM (Monday) |
| Nothing special happened today. I went to Denny's for dinner. My mom came
home today. Today is momentous in that it's... the second to last day of summer! And it's Labor Day.
Happy Labor Day everyone. |
| 9.2.00 7:14 PM (Saturday) |
| Today was one big scrambled mess... I woke up in the afternoon, and spent
the 'morning' playing Super Street Fighter II. I *finally* beat the game with no continues on the
hardest difficulty, it gave me some stupid cast roll... afterwards my sister and I went to pick up her
friend Chung, we were all going to Bumbershoot. First we went to Uwajimaya so I could get the FFIX
OSV, which I don't really want nor need, but the case looked really cool so I decided to get it. (When
I opened it I found out this special case was all cracked.. .blah...) The thing about game and anime
music is that it all sucks, or if doesn't it gets played out easily, but the Japanese companies entice
you with free stuff and nice packaging and "limited first pressing editions". Ooh. It works. (I bought
the Final Fantasy VI OSV a while back, and as much as I liked the music playing the game I really
didn't listen to the CD's much...) Anyways, after that we spent a whole frustating hour or so looking
for parking around the Seattle Center, but there was none... we ended up going Downtown, parking an
hour across the street from Nordstrom Rack, and taking the monorail to Seattle Center. But we forgot
about Bumbershoot tickets... I was so used to getting in free because my mom always got free tickets
in years past. So we turned around and went back to our car, then we ate ate Wendy's. What a waste of
time! KISS 106.1 and KUBE 93.3 FM weren't helping either, as they were rubbing it in whenever we
listened. |
| 8.25.00 11:18 PM (Friday) |
| I'm still angry, for more or less the same reasons as before but with some
added stuff. I got braces yesterday... I wouldn't really mind except they're such a hassle to
maintain, because I have to brush more often, floss more often, and get food out of them. The most
upsetting thing about this whole ordeal is losing four perfectly good teeth... when the first
orthodentist I visited said it was only two. But all in all it's not that bad. I mean, children in
Africa are starving. On Wednesday I saw the last episode of Survivor! It was exciting. I don't know
how I got into that whole craze, but I watched the episode where they kicked Jenna off the island and
I started to watch it more frequently. I started to hate Rich after seeing the last episode, then I
saw the little reuinon thing and became less interested in the show (I thought they were all going to
be the same pissy people.) And uhh, today I saw Bring it On. It sucked, the short cheerleading
mini-skirts didn't make up for... how much it sucked. But it looked better than other movies that were
playing (another good movie needs to come out, and fast.) I digress; this webpage has been neglected
by me this summer. I plan to make a third layout, soon... maybe during winter break (luckily not that
many people are looking forward to it anyway. And I still don't really care about how many hits this
site gets.) This is the first HTML document I ever created that was long enough so that Simpletext
couldn't open it anymore, now I'm using a different program. |
| 8.22.00 8:50 PM (Tuesday) |
| I'm angry for some reason... maybe it's the fact no one wants to refer me at
myecamp.com. Maybe not, I don't know why, I'm really angry. I am not looking forward to the schoolyear
at all, with all the homework, lack of sleep, and assorted stuff I'm just not interested in. My mom
leaves for the 'motherland' as I like to call it tomorrow. I wish I could find something that would
relieve all of this stress, maybe... transfer to another school?! I wish. But I guess I'll stay at
Garfield, for the education anyways (that's what schools' about, isn't it?) Maybe I'll become a
full-fledged nerd, that would be much easier. Being Asian doesn't seem to help much either. No matter
how much I think nothing seems to be helping, so I'll just cool off and hopefully things will
settle. |
| 8.19.00 8:27 PM (Saturday) |
| Saw the Cell today, it was a disturbing movie :D For some reason it didn't
stick in my head though, and I didn't find it that disturbing although I'm sure I should've found it
more disturbing. Maybe it was the fact I was sleepy. Oh well, it was just an okay movie, nothing too
great, maybe the special effects, but even those weren't too great. I also made some money orders
today... whoop de do. |
| 8.14.00 4:00 AM (Monday) |
Yesterday was just... wrong. I had to take two buses to get to Gabino's
party, the 42, then he told me to get the 72 in the bus tunnel, which was closed... I was in Downtown
frantically searching for the 72 stop, and it was on 3rd avenue. But it only came once on the hour; I
waited around 40 minutes or so for the bus. Then I get off at Ravenna, and I thought I saw him looking
at me, that's why I was really angry when he didn't wait. But the most depressing thing about the
incident is I wasted 5 hours. 2 1/2 hours average each trip. Some of the things I had to endure while
on buses: 1) a really smelly guy with bad BO who I sat next to 2) while on the 72 to Ravenna I
saw adjacent to this guy who was taking up both seats and his legs were wide open and he kept itching
himself... right... there. I'm not sure if it was itching, he kept touching himself and it was
mightily destracting. Then whenever I turned around the slightest he kept looking at me, and I tried
not to look back cuz he scared me. I'm wondering if he knew I knew what he was doing (BTW this guy
seemed to be friends with the smelly guy mentioned in #1. I think they were secretly planning to
molest me, but luckily I moved to another seat when it was available.) |
| 8.12.00 5:29 AM (Saturday) |
| It occured to me my birthday is coming up. Please send me something... it's
September 27th. I turn 15. An e-mail would be nice. A card would be nicer. A present would be nicerer.
And money would be nicerest (of course if you give money you have to give at least $20, or get a
present if it's cheaper). Lots of nothing has been happening lately. The highlight of my day yesterday
was downloading mp3's off Rapster (a Macster-wannabe, which is a Napster-wannabe.) Yuki Koyanagi is a
good singer but kinda annoying like Celine Dion (her voice is kinda... masculine though... and she
doesn't look all that hot to me as well.) Kiroro is a sweet j-pop group, too bad they're not as
popular as they were in 1998. The song "I Just Died in Your Arms" is a classic. And Christina Aguilera
is hot. |
| 8.3.00 8:52 PM (Thursday) |
| Saw Nutty Professor II: The Klumps today. I actually saw it with Eric and
his little brother. We went to Broadway to eat afterwards, although I had to mail off a package first.
Some group walked up to me and gave me a flier for the musical "Three Guys Naked" (I would never see a
musical with that title... in fact I don't know if I would see any musical in general...) Broadway is
such a... nice place. |
| 8.2.00 1:25 AM (Wednesday) |
| I saw What Lies Beneath today. Was supposed to see with Eric, but we never
met... I arrived 20 minutes late because I had to take the bus (should've planned it better). I wonder
if he saw the 8:00 PM showing like planned. Anyways, I should've bought a ticket to the 8 o'clock
show, but instead I bought a ticket to the 8:30 show. I took the bus home, the 36, where lots of
ghetto people hang out. Came home around 12... I haven't updated this page in a week or so, but not
much has happened since then. I went to the Bite of Seattle twice during the weekend it happened.
Other than that, nothing major. |
| 7.17.00 11:30 PM (Monday) |
| I went to Jeffo's surprise party today. Some people weren't there, but it
was a nice small crowd that turned up. We waited outside the condo complex for more people, and then
we surprised Jeffo at the Pit. I was actually quite tired because I hadn't slept in forever. I didn't
get Jeffo anything, but I'm broke anyways. After we ate we were going to see a movie, which I didn't
even know about. Somehow during this we lost Wendy (who was our connection into getting in a rated R
movie at Meridian). Even now I'm not sure what happened to her, but, whatever... she seemed kinda
bored at the restuarant anyway. We went to Pacific Place and did nothing productive, then on to
Meridian 16 where Lizzy B. and Pepper (I think both of them used their cards...) debit/credit cards to
get us tickets to Scary Movie (which I had already seen.) And we got in hassle-free. The movie was
actually funnier the second time for some reason, even though I already knew what was going to happen.
And then we parted ways and went home. |
| 7.16.00 10:13 PM (Sunday) |
| David wants his name and website mentioned on here, so I'll just blatantly
spam my little events page. Visit his website here. |
| 7.14.00 10:26 PM (Friday) |
Saw X-Men today. I'm not into comic books anymore, but this movie sure
brought back memories. It was a good movie. There were only a few main X-men; Professor X was
obviously there, and his main mutant team consisted of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm. Wolverine and
Rogue somewhat joined during the movie, and the two got all of the character development IMO. I wish
they had Psylocke... Gambit would've been cool too. Even with the few number of X-men they decided to
keep, character development was a little shoddy. Jean Grey was a good character, she appeared
intelligent like she did in the comic; Storm... uh, Halle Berry had an African accent in some parts,
then a regular American voice in others, and didn't even say much nor reveal anything new in the
story; and Cyclops, well, what was up with him? The characters that they casted for the X-men were
great; Rogue was the only one I thought a little off, but they portrayed her differently in the movie
anyway. But why they did it is understandable, and as much as I like her comic book persona (the
experienced, sweet-talking Souther belle) this new Rogue fits in quite well. Gambit and Rogue, in the
original seemed a little too fake anyway (just a little.) Well a good comic-to-movie adaptation
overall. Also, a few people have informed me FFIX will have some type of mog net/network... those
people at Square are such biters! j/k. They better not accuse me of copyright infringement though
(even if I use pictures of their moogles without asking.) |
| 7.13.00 2:46 AM (Thursday) |
I went to see "Scary Movie" tonight with the family. Not a family movie.
Lots of overt sexual activity and references. One of the dumbest movies I've ever seen, but probably
the funniest one I've seen in quite a while (although, they couldn't resist every cheap shot at a joke
so many jokes are just not funny.) After that I went back to school shopping again (nothing wrong with
starting too early). Also, I've been working on the Asian 'Posse' site for the past few days, I'm
not sure where I'll put updates but maybe I'll just state them in here? Maybe not. |
| 7.9.00 1:29 AM (Sunday) |
| An actual real event I can write about! Yesterday I went to some type of
festival at Chinatown. Nothing there was too fun... lots of stands aimed at Asians, which was cool.
Some of the interesting attractions included getting a picture taken with a police car/cop, a free
back screening... that's all I remember. There was lots of Asian food there as well. I bought some
nasty vegetable noodles and some fake chicken teriyaki. I wanted to buy some lemonade but it was
overpriced. We went to Wizards of the Coast afterwards, playing anything but Marvel vs. Capcom 2
(which I haven't even tried once yet), then back to Chinatown cuz I had to buy beef. And when I came
home I thought I received the last of my eBay payments, but no! They were letters from Naomi and
Alice. Oh well, both are appreciated. |
| 7.5.00 10:13 PM (Wednesday) |
| I went with Eric to Chinatown today. Nothing unusual... I finally used my
Kinokuniya card to buy me a free CD single ("For You," Utada Hikaru's latest...) even though I heard a
clip of it and I don't really like it. What's worse is I blew about $40 on Mai Kuraki's first album.
And I'm not even supposed to be supporting her because she's a wannabe. What's up with that? Oh well,
both are good CD's, I like the Mai Kuraki one better though. As I was waiting for the bus some guy
walks up and says, "Hey did you see what happened down there? All those police cars... there was a
shooting!" which surprised me because I was down "there" (like around Uwajimaya and Jackson street). I
don't even know all the details yet, but hoepfully nothing too bad happened. |
| 6.27.00 10:47 PM (Tuesday) |
| It occurred to me I haven't updated since the last day of school, which
seemed like a year ago or so. Summer vacation's just starting too... I watched the new episode of The
Real World: New Orleans. It looks like it's going to be a good season, matching Boston's status as my
favorite or exceeding it (I watch too much TV.) I had two dental appointments two weeks in row, last
Monday and yesterday, after that I went back-to-school shopping two weeks in a row as well (o_O) On
Saturday I got a haircut, then went to Chinatown and had a rather uncomfortable lunch with David's
parents, and then saw Titan AE with Margaret (great movie BTW.) Then yesterday I wanted to buy the
Titan AE soundtrack, and then I saw Legend of Mana and got that instead (to ease the boredom of
summer). So I've been playing that all day... it's such a fun game, and it's got great graphics. I've
also decided to give my webpages a little lift (but that might be delayed due to Legend of Mana...) |
| 6.17.00 11:50 AM (Saturday) |
So today is the first day of summer vacation. Yesterday was actually quite
fun. I gave Erin her wallet back during 1st period World History, where we had some type of simulation
instead of a final, and a party afterwards (both were quite boring.) In third period we had college
project presentations, which were quite boring as well, but then we took several pictures. And (Ben)
found a "Monica" by Before Dark CD single cover thing! So throughout lunch and 5th period Band I had
people take pictures with it. During 5th we watched the Nutty Professor, which I've seen already.
Afterschool I said goodbyes to several girls, namely. Then we boarded the bus to downtown... we were
supposed to see "Shaft" but we didn't want to sneak in. We split up because some of us wanted to go to
Gameworks, and some of us wanted to go get something to drink. After we reconvened we all went to
Pacific Place on a tip that "Shaft" was playing there as well (but of course they don't play the same
movies at Meridian 16 and Pacific Place...) On the way up to the movie theatre, however, I found this
wrapped cheesecake snack and I put it in my bag. I thought I was going to drop it all the way down
from the escalators to see what would happen, but I ended up saving it. So instead of the movie we saw
a sound show at the Bose store, and while we were waiting I opened the cheesecake and took a bite out
of it. I swear I was seriously worried about getting a disease throughout the show... I interrupted
the host saying "I'm going to get AIDS!" But later on I found out that they were giving away those
cheesecakes in one of the stores, so someone probably didn't want it and just threw it away. We went
to Westlake to eat afterwards, and after that to a corporate Nordstrom's office to look for Gabino's
mom (we goofed around a lot in there though.) Then Gabino left, and we went to Eric's house, where we
played video games for quite some time. I went home after this, and on the 7 back, I saw Spenser B.
Which was weird, because I don't think I've ever said a word to him while at school. We had a
conversation until he got off the bus... I got off a few stops later and walked home. |
| 6.16.00 3:03 AM (Friday) |
| Why are girls that once used to be nice to me are now acting really bitchy or
cold towards me... and girls that I hardly know are acting nice as heck towards me... it's quite
weird. Anyways, summer vacation starts 1:15 PM tomorrow. Yet somehow I feel this schoolyear hasn't
come full circle... and I know I should be really happy right now, but for some reason... I just hope
I don't get angry at certain people tomorrow. On a lighter note, I had my last Language Arts,
Japanese, and Biology classes today. I got a C on the last essay I wrote in LA, which sucks because I
usually get A's on everything I write in that class. Even when other people get bad grades. We had an
hour lunch today, which I wasted around school. I did find Erin W.'s wallet though. I took pictures
with it during lunch. I'm going to give it back to her tomorrow (technically, later today.) |
| 6.14.00 1:40 AM (Wednesday) |
| Last night (Monday night, anyway) we had a Concert at school. Our band
pretty much sucks since we don't practice, but we played better than I expected. Just the trumpets
were too loud. So three more days of school... not much homework tonight (just a Japanese book and an
essay to write) and no finals either. This afternoon I mailed off some Ebay packages as well. |
| 6.11.00 7:16 PM (Sunday) |
So, a lot of things happened since the last update... a little more than a
week ago, on Friday (5-2-00), it was Freshmen day. I spent the whole day not getting froshed. I put
some hair dye spray in my hair, to show school spirit, or whatever it was that I had that day. After
that I went to Washington, and got treated like a criminal, and got kicked out badly. So I'm never
going back there again. The next day I saw Mission Impossible II: it SUCKED! Don't see it. The next
day I spent the good part of the day at Seward Park, then to places in Renton, and Alki, to look for
plants for my plant project. The last week has been horrible-- all my teachers have been assigning all
this homework. On Thursday night I played at 2000 senior graduation with band. It was really boring,
we only played thrice out of the whole 3 hours we were there. Haha and at the end of Pomp and
Circumstance our band director slowed us down and the percussion section didn't see it, so everyone
stopped playing and it sounded screwy. When I got home I finished up my plant project, which took 4
hours to finish up, then went on to do other homework... let me say there were not enough hours in the
day to do all the homework I had that night. And I wasn't even procrastinating, either, it was all
homework assigned during the week. I almost had a nervous breakdown 1st period on Friday. BTW, my
Ebay auctions went (fairly) well... I don't know if I gained any money, or lost any either. I spent
yesterday (6-10-00) trying to package the items to ship, but there wasn't enough time, so I'm going to
ship some of the items tomorrow. And on a final note, Seattle Public School students only have one
more week of school! I'm going to bring a camera for the good part of the week, to take those fun 'n
candid shots. |
| 5.27.00 9:57 PM (Saturday) |
| I am feeling... sick for some reason. I've been scanning stuff for the past
hour so I can hopefully sell them on Ebay. I saw Shanghai Noon today with David and James. It was a
good movie, because it had Lucy Liu! I would type more but my head is spinning and I feel nauseous. |
| 5.25.00 2:51 PM (Thursday) |
| We had one of the most funniest assemblies at school today, during 3rd
period. It was concerning racism. Especially funny was the guy who was Mexican, but moved to America
and then was racist against Mexicans. He was a cop and he pulled over a Mexican woman, then he was
like, "Why are you speeding?" then the woman said, "I want to get home." Then the cop said, "No it's
because you want to go to Taco Bell isn't it?" (or something to that effect.) Okay it's not really
funny online but the whole thing was a hell of a lot more funnier in person. I went on a plant walk
during lunch, but other than that it was a normal, mundane day. |
| 5.21.00 2:12 PM (Sunday) |
| Nothing much has changed since yesterday... uhh, I ate sushi for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner yesterday. I also bought some Meltykiss at Uwajimaya (these things are addictive.) I
went to the library at around 5 PM to check out some videos for my term paper. Then after that I
stayed online for the longest time and neglected my videos, and after that I watched the 2nd Lain DVD.
All in all, a quite boring weekend. |
| 5.20.00 3:30 PM (Saturday) |
| I got my Christmas present from my mom on Wednesday (5-17)... I actually
ordered it in early January, but it came a few days ago (the first Evangelion DVD was just released,
so they had to wait for that to ship it.) I got the first Eva DVD and the first two Lain DVD's. I
suggest everyone see Serial Experiments Lain, it's a really cool anime... Eva-ish in that it messes
with your head. I saw the first DVD today, but I'll probably see the other one I have later tonight or
tomorrow because I have to head over to the library soon. |
| 5.14.00 12:23 PM (Sunday) |
| I saw "Frequency" last night with just Eric. Other people were supposed to
come, but they didn't... and Aaron was supposed to come, and we waited for him until the movie
started, but he didn't show up. Anyways the movie was great. It deals with time paradoxes. And it's
certainly better than Held Up... |
| 5.12.00 8:15 PM (Friday) |
So I saw "Held Up" w/ Yuki and Ka... Kh... Khalyanne? Something (if i ever
figure out how to spell your name I'll spell it right...) anyways it was pretty funny. We saw it
afterschool. The weird thing is we were supposed to meet afterschool. I waited at the 4 Bus stop
around Ezell's for them, while I waited I talked to Marta, and we ended up talking about nothing much
for like 20 minutes. Then I went to the 4/48 bus stop and I saw Kelly, and I asked her if she saw
Yuki, and she said she didn't know who Yuki was... anyways I ran back to the bus stop near Ezell's
because I saw Yuki and K, K.. whatever running for the bus, then I yelled really loudly, but they
didn't hear me. Anyways I crossed the street and nearly got hit by the 48. I crossed the street again
and waited for the next 4. I went to downtown, got off at Pike (or was it Pine...), then went to
Pacific Place, and found them (they had just bought their tickets.) So after that we went to
Nordstrom's Cafe, then ate at Westlake, then we went to Hot Topic where the girls tried on shoes for
like 20 minutes, then we went to the movie. It was pretty funny! After that K... went to Niketown
because she had to get a ride. Yuki and I went to Claire's (not my idea...), Sam Goody, and to the bus
tunnel to get to Chinatown before heading to the 42 to get home. Oh yeah, on Thursday I also got
my CD player on Ebay. It's pretty ghetto, but it works, so... |
| 5.9.00 2:55 AM (Tuesday) |
Today sucked so much. I just finished my bacteria project, and I've been
working on it since 6 (I actually started it today, so I can't really complain...) It's now 3 in the
morning. That's what, 9 hours...? I wasn't concentrating on it the whole time though. At school
today (well, technically yesterday, 5-8 Mon) we had elections. And it's really hard to explain all
that's happened, so those reading who were at Garfield at that time will know what I'm talking about.
I'm eager to know who actually won, though... |
| 5.3.00 3:10 PM (Wednesday) |
| Since today was such a weird day, I'll go ahead and just write what
happened. I got to school normally, went to world history like normal. I gave ramune candy to Eric,
then we had to answer some questions on a cartoon. Then we went down to the bandroom to get ready to
board the buses. We boarded the buses and found out why some people were absent from first period...
they were already there. So we went to Ballard Highschool for the city highschool band event (whatever
it's called.) It's more like an airport than a school. We listened to one or two highschools play then
we played ourselves. We didn't have too many percussion people (they were absent or didn't feel like
going or something...) so we ditched one song. We only had one person playing percussion... After we
sucked at playing we went around looking for a place to eat. I went to the lunchroom. After we ate we
went back into the auditorium and listened to 3 or so bands play. Franklin played and I didn't mind
their songs, which were from West Side Story (I wanted to scream out "Hey it's like those Gap
commercials!"). But the next two bands played slow, boring, and incredibly LONG songs (why put them on
the end if they're going to be so boring...) It was Roosevelt and Ballard I think, or was it Chief
Sealth... we were happy to get out of there. We boarded the buses back to Garfield, and we had about
thirty minutes to spare (and I doubt anyone went to 6th period). I spent most of the time talking to
Gabino and Erin W. Then we went outside and I found out what we did in some of our classes, then I
boarded the bus and went home. Uhh, yeah. |
| 4.26.00 4:45 PM (Wednesday) |
| I came back from Kinokuniya at around 4, and I got Utada Hikaru's new
single "Wait and See." Actually I've been trying since last week... on Thursday (4-20) there was
supposed to be a shooting. The story is there was graffiti found in one of the boys bathroom that said
"Columbine 4-20-99, Garfield 4-20-00" or something like that. At any rate nothing happened and only
about a couple hundred students went to school (out of... a couple thousand? I'm not good with
estimation.) Anyways I skipped 4th period and I went to Uwaji with Eric and Yuki, and it was really
boring, and they didn't have the UH single even though it came out 4-19. I went again on Saturday
(4-22); Eric and I went on the way to the art museum for extra credit for Marsh. I called them when I
came home, and they said they'd have it in stock 4-26... at any rate I went back there on Monday
(4-24) after a dental appointment to get something to eat, and I checked the CD's, and just as I
suspected, it wasn't there. So I went back today and I got it. |
| 4.19.00 12:17 AM (Wednesday) |
| I came back from Florida on Sunday night. I was upset because my mom
wasn't there for about 30 minutes. David called me and told me he made some music videos, and I called
Eric and scared him with my deep voice. I fell asleep upset for some reason then went to school the
next day. Anyways, you can read about my little adventure in Florida here. |
| 4.11.00 6:39 PM (Tuesday) |
These past few days (the week of my Spring Break) have been so busy. I spent
Saturday and Sunday playing and beating Seiken Densetsu 3 O_O GREAT game BTW. (My party consisted of
Duran, a Paladin; Riesz, a Star Lancer; and Kevin, a Monk Warrior.) Here's a tip: for all of those
reading who want to beat the Black Rabite, don't exit the screen when he goes crazy with spells. Heal,
and keep attacking. I made the mistake of retreating and coming back about 6 or 7 times. After his
spell flurry keep attacking; he should cast Ancient, and this is when you know he's almost dead. Riesz
was invaluble because of her Power-up-all spell, and Kevin and his Heal Light-all spell as well. Each
character was doing about 100-400 damage per hit with Riesz' enhancement, and my characters were
around Level 48. I digress. Yesterday was also a busy day... dental appointment, Chinatown,
library, then back to Chinatown! I got Mr. Children's (newest, anyway) single Kuchibue. And their
older single... Hikari no something, I forget the title. Tomorrow I leave for Florida for a band
trip, and I haven't even packed yet! I should do that. Okay, I'll update when I get back, and maybe
I'll scan some of the pictures I developed today, or the pictures I'll take when in Florida. |
| 4.3.00 12:40 AM (Monday) |
So it's really early in the morning... and I haven't updated this webpage in a
while. Nothing truly eventful happened all that time. I left the SMII board for once, although I plan
to return someday. On Saturday I went to Chinatown (big surprise...) and after, I went to Eric's
house, he gave me some headphones, and I left my UH1 VCD there for some reason -.- Anyways, I recorded
a tape of songs I'll be listening to until (hopefully) the end of the schoolyear, using my CD's and my
sister's boombox. So I'm using my walkman once again. Until I get a CD player and a CD burner, that
is. How I want those things so badly... but until then a walkman will suffice. Something I want to
talk about now though. Lately I've been noticing a bunch of Gundam Wing stuff on Ebay. Should I go
ahead and sell my Gundam stuff and hope it will fetch really high prices? I wouldn't do that to
ignorant people, would I... I just feel angry for not making a profit during the Pokemon explosion of
last year. At any rate, if I didn't like Gundam Wing much before, I surely don't like it much now. |
| 3.19.00 |
| After an uneventful weekend (I didn't really go to Tolo) I still haven't had the time to
finish all the homework due tomorrow o_O Anyways, I got my UH1 VCD on Saturday (3-18.) The First Love
video is the best! |
| 3.16.00 |
| Lots of stuff happened. We got our AOL account back, I went to Chinatown a few times again
(big surprise) o_O among other things. I also created an Asian Posse website sometime over the past
week. Also, I slept for the first time in Japanese class o_O Sensei wasn't too thrilled. |
| 2.29.00 |
| I wasn't going to update this page today, but something really funny happened. We were having
a Black History Month assembly at school. Then there was this big argument about who was racist and
bigotist and stereotypical comments were thrown across the room. I found it really funny. For one
thing, the speaker kept saying "Koreans," like he had a problem with Korean people or something. My
views on racism: it will never stop as long as there are people slightly different from you... I'm
pessimistic, but it's true. |
| 2.28.00 |
| Okay here's what happened, on Thursday night (2-24) my dumb sister got our AOL account
temporarily cancelled (I hope temporarily, otherwise we might just have to switch to another ISP), so
now I'm leeching off a friend's account. On Friday I went to Chinatown, nothing too unusual. I'm
having second thoughts on Suzuki Ami's CD, it's actually okay, but not great. It's definately not
worth $35 though. But I'm listening to it now... Anyways, while at Chinatown, I was looking for Namie
Amuro's new CD (for the thousandth time) Genius 2000, yet it was not in stock yet T_T And it started
raining. I think I'm sick now... oh well I have school tomorrow (technically today, it's like 1 in the
morning ^_^;;) |
| 2.22.00 |
| Wow it seems I'm not writing as much stuff on this page as I would like o_O Well, uhh,
yesterday I went to Kinokuniya and I bought Suzuki Ami's new CD, which SUCKS. Then I went to downtown
and bought P!NK's single "There You Go," LOL I like that song for some reason. So many bums I
encountered... then this hooker-type middle aged whorey disgusting woman asked me for 35 cents, she
scared me so I quickly gave money to her. |
| 2.14.00 |
| Today was Valentine's day. During lunch I helped pass out Chinese calligraphy; I also helped
pass out valentines and condoms for CAPE. All in all, an okay day. |
| 1.28.00 |
| Whee, lots of stuff happened since the last update. Erm, I saw several movies. Nothing too
exciting. Anyways, we registered for new classes last week, and we had finals over the past two days.
I think I'm getting all the classes I want, I'm just not sure about the new teachers. We have a 3-day
weekend, and a semester on Tuesday. |
| 12.31.99 |
There's not really much going on right now. ChUB and SMII just ended a huge flamewar, so I'm
happy ^__^ Other than that, just Y2K. Let's all celebrate!
